Honours Scholarships at RSPhysSE

Applications are invited for honours scholarships from students with outstanding academic records at undergraduate level. The scholarships are valued at $5,000; an additional $4,500 will be awarded to successful applicants who relocate to the ANU from outside the Canberra region. Some awards will be made for study in any area, while others may be targeted to areas of specific research in the School or the Physics Department in The Faculties.

In exceptional circumstances, the Research School of Physical Sciences and Engineering may award partial scholarships to students enrolled in honours projects at other universities, to enable them to complete their research projects in the School, with supervision shared between the School and the parent university. Please contact Dr John Howard (john.howard@anu.edu.au), the School's Honours Program Coordinator (tel. (02) 6125 3751), if you wish to explore this option.

Detailed information about the Honours program and application forms are available from:

The Closing date for applications is normally the end of the year. However, please note that: Students doing their Honours at the ANU will be formally enrolled in the Department of Physics and Theoretical Physics in the ANU Faculty of Science (even though they may well be doing their project work at The Research School of Physical Sciences and Engineering). It is therefore advisable to check the deadline for Honours enrolment on the Faculty web site.
