RSPhysSE Student Entry Requirements
Vacation SchollarshipsVacation scholarships enable students at any Australian or NZ university to come to the Research School during their host university's vacation weeks in order to undertake a small project and get a feel for working in a research environment. Students may choose projects from almost any of our research topics. These scholarships are normally offered to students enrolled at any Australian or NZ university who are studying broadly physical science related courses, and who are in their second, third or final year. Although, these requirements are quite flexible, and all interested students are encouraged to contact us. HonoursPlease see the Honours web page.PhDScholarships are available to both Australian/NZ and international students for PhD study in almost any of our research areas. (International students would also need to either pay tuition fees or apply for, and be awarded an additional tuition fee scholarship, the forms for which, are included in the information pack). Generally speaking, Scholarships are awarded to students who have, or expect to get, a first class or 2A honours degree in a broadly physical sciences discipline (for example, mathematics, engineering, physics, computational sciences, astronomy etc.) although for some projects, other disciplines may be equally suitable (for example certain projects in Applied Mathematics would suit a chemistry or biology background). The Research School always welcomes any student enquiries. If you would like some more information about the possibility of study within the Research School of Physical Sciences and Engineering, please fill in and submit the web form below.
