How do I enrol in Honours at RSPhysSE?

  • If you are a student in the Department of Physics and Theoretical Physics in the Faculty of Science at the Australian National University:
you should submit an application to the Faculties to undertake the Honours Program in physics. You should indicate that you wish to perform your practical work in the Research School of Physical Sciences and Engineering, and indicate with whom you wish to work and what you propose to do. (there are project lists on the web at http://wwwrsphysse.anu.edu.au/admin/php/project.php and if you can't find anything that inspires you there, you can contact the Honours Coordinator who can help you to match your interests with a suitable project and supervisor.)

These applications will be reviewed by Physics and then passed on to us if it is deemed that you have the qualifications necessary to undertake Honours. When your application arrives here, it is assessed along with any others and scholarships are awarded on merit.

  • If you are a student of another university in Australia or New Zealand:
You should have a look at the on-line project lists, then contact the Honours Coordinator, who will be able to help you further.

The Research School welcomes all student enquiries, and you are encouraged to contact us regarding your Honours requirements.
