Research Interests

  • Quantum chromodynamics, that is, the area of theoretical subatomic particle physics dealing with the interactions of quarks and gluons.  More specifically, nonperturbative calculations in in quantum chromodynamics using Dyson-Schwinger and Bethe-Salpeter equations.  recent interests include (1) the dynamics of mesons containing heavy quarks, (2) the properties of charge parity exotic mesons.
  • Nonperturbative calculations of other confining field theories using Dyson-Schwinger equations.  One recent application has been to the supersymmetric extension of quantum electrodynamics in two space and one time dimensions.
