Effective Hamiltonian of the One Dimensional Periodic Anderson Model

ABSTRACT:

The one dimensional periodic Anderson model is believed to be one of the models best describing impurity effects and yet the understanding of it is still very limited. The model is solvable via Bethe Ansatz only in the single impurity limit.  For more than one impurity exact solution is not possible.  In order to gain a deeper insight into the physical behaviour of the model we choose a unitary transformation method, obtaining the effective Hamiltonian of the one dimensional periodic Anderson model. The unitary transformation is calculated up to infinite order, thus this is an exact transformation.
