Summer School Accomodation

Accomodation for participants is being arranged at Ursula College (single accomodation at $35 bed and breakfast or $45 per day including meals for students who can produce student ID cards). It is possible that some accomodation could be arranged at University House ($58 single per night, $63 twin share for stays more than 7 days or, $81 single per night, $90 twin share for stays less than 7 days) or at Liversidge Court: Studio apartment $364 per week, one bedroom apartment $413 per week or two bedroom apartment $497 per week (these are self contained units). The following extracts are taken from brochures provided by the colleges.

University House is in Balmain Cresent, on the A.N.U. Campus, within 2 km of the city centre. All rooms contain a refrigerator, toaster and tea-making facilities and have an ISD/STD telephone. Double suites, West Wing apartments and flats are equipped with colour television. Children can only be accomodated by prior arrangement. General services and features include three bars, snack bar, newsagent, tobacconist. Toiletries and a selection of Australian wines are available. You will also find a tennis court, billiards room, record and book library, bicycle hire, self-serve and A La Carte Restaurant. Dry cleaning and laundry facilities are also available. After normal business hours, 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m. daily, keys for new residents are available in envelopes outside the reception desk. Personal charges (meals, phones, etc) must be settled on departure. Check out time is 11.00 a.m., otherwise an extra half-day's charge will apply. Other forms of accomodation are also available at the House. Prices are subject to review.

Liversidge Court is a complex of completely self-contained apartments, furnished to suit the most discerning guests, located on campus. Charges for gas and electricity are included in the weekly rates. Appointments include colour TV, ISD/STD telephone, private laundry with washing machine and clothes dryer. Easy access to the city centre and main cultural tourist attractions.

Ursula College provides budget accomodation with up to 180 beds available during the University vacation. The rooms have central heating, hot/cold water, tea/coffee making facilities, telephone - STD/IDD access. Recreation facilities include a fully equipped gymnasium, licensed bar/canteen, comfortable spacious common/TV room. It has the perfect setting for a conference. The college is situated on the grounds of the Australian National University, with access to the latest technical equipment to help make a conference run like clockwork.
